How to play a sliding block exit puzzle
Move the other blocks out of the way, then slide the target marked X through the gate on the right.
Play the small puzzleThree movement rules
- Follow the block’s length. A horizontal block moves left or right. A vertical block moves up or down. Blocks cannot rotate or change lanes.
- Leave room. Each arrow moves one square. Blocks cannot overlap, jump over one another or leave the board.
- Take X all the way out. When X reaches the right edge beside the gate, press right once more. Only X can use the exit.
Controls
- Tap or click a block, or its letter below the board. Use the large direction buttons to move it.
- Keyboard: focus a block or its letter button, then press an arrow key. Press another block’s letter to select it. Tab reaches the other controls; Enter or Space activates a button.
- Undo takes back one move, including the final exit. Restart clears only the current puzzle after confirmation.
- Hint finds a complete route from your current position and marks its first move. Press the highlighted direction to make that move. If the search reaches its limit, the route remains unknown; a limit is not a dead end.
Daily and practice
Choose a small 5 × 5 or roomy 6 × 6 board. Each size has 24 original puzzles. Daily changes at 00:00 UTC and repeats every 24 days. Practice cycles through the same collection.
Each size keeps its own Daily and Practice progress. An older daily stays open when you return. Play today asks before replacing an unfinished daily. Next practice puzzle asks before replacing an unfinished practice puzzle.
Saved progress
Your moves are saved in this browser when storage is available. If saving fails, the message explains how to retry. Unreadable records stay protected until you confirm Reset saved progress. If the record cannot be read at all, use Reload saved progress to try again; temporary moves in the current tab will be lost.
